Mr. Foodie – My husband (and partner in crime) is also a Foodie of sorts in that he loves to eat and can follow a mean recipe! Although his cooking endeavors are few and far between, everything he has attempted has come out pretty tasty. He is very methodical in his cooking – everything is prepped and measured before he even begins the cooking process. While I totally admire this, it usually leads to every single dish in the kitchen needing to be washed. His food kryptonite: onions and cilantro.
Foodie Jr. – My 7 year-old son. I am a firm believer that kids menus are insulting and that young children are more than capable of having a sophisticated palate that goes beyond macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. He has always been a good eater and we have done our best to expose him to a variety of foods and cuisine from a very young age. Don’t get me wrong, he loves kiddie fare too but would gladly give it up for shrimp, fish, fruits and vegetables any day. His food kryptonite: potatoes, in any shape or form.
Baby Foodie – My 10 month old son. He started solid foods at a little before 4 months (with the pediatrician’s okay – gasp!) He was interested in eating real food before that though He is a much more picky eater than his big brother and is a complete junk food junkie! He would eat pizza, chicken nuggets and taquitos all day, every day if we let him. Oh, and goldfish crackers. He is definitely going to be my carb lover – a good balance to his big brother!
